XXXTentacion had $50,000 stashed in a small Louis Vuitton bag when he was robbed and shot to death last month in Florida. The information came in the affidavit for an arrest warrant for one of the four men indicted in the killing obtained by CNN, which reported that the rapper had just withdrawn the money — $100 bills in bank wrappers — before he drove to the Deerfield Beach Motorsports store on June 18.
A dark-colored SUV reportedly cut the 20 year-old rapper (born Jahseh Onfroy) off as he left the store and several suspects were seen in cell phone photos and video from the day of the killing holding large stacks of cash.
A Broward County, Florida grand jury has officially indicted the four men in the murder case, charging them with first degree murder and armed robbery. Michael Boatwright, 22 and Dedrick Williams, 22, were arrested, while Robert Allen, 22, and Trayvon Newsome, 20, remain at large. According to the sheriff’s report, investigators believe that Newsome and Boatwright approached the rapper’s car. They also think Boatwright was the one who shot him. Any tips may be eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
