Lil’ B wasn’t the only one involved in a fight over the weekend at California’s Rolling Loud Festival. While XXXTentacion was performing Saturday, he was crowd-surfing through his set and was allegedly punched in the face by a concertgoer. From there, the 19-year-old artist beat the over-aggressive concertgoer with his microphone repeatedly, claiming it was an act of self-defense. Surrounding fans caught part of the altercation on video.
Before news of the incident could spread, XXXTentacion took to social media to explain his side of the story, “I’m just letting everyone know ahead of time that I punched someone in their face today because I was assaulted while I was performing,” the Florida native posted to his Instagram story. “So before anybody sees the video and makes an assumption, I’m gonna beat everyone to it and let everyone know. Yo, I ended up punching someone because they punched me in my shit.”
X isn’t a stranger to inciting violence at his concerts. Over the summer, the rapper was jumped at one of his shows in San Diego where he was knocked unconscious and a fan was reportedly stabbed soon after. The incident didn’t seem to faze the “Jocelyn Flores” artist much at all, resuming his tour shortly after.

xxxtentacion had to defend himself while performing tonight so he’s beating time and telling the story before it gets taken out of context. pic.twitter.com/GVNSJtO9xU
