Wu-Tang Clan are coming together for the follow-up to their 2007 “8 Diagrams” album. The rap collective will release their new album, “A Better Tomorrow,” in July and embark on a brief tour together.
The 10-day trek, which kicks off this weekend (April 14) in Coachella, will feature “all living members from the influential group performing on stage together,” according to a press release via Hip-Hop-N-More.
Last year, RZA spoke on a probable Wu-Tang Clan reunion in time for the 20th anniversary of “Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)” (1993). “There’s one last job Wu-Tang clan must do,” RZA told the New York Times (via Pitchfork), “The 20th anniversary [of “Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)”] is next year. And we need to, one time, completely, efficiently, properly represent our brand.”
In March, Method Man teased an upcoming Wu album during a performance at L.A.’s Key Club. “November 10 of this year will be our 20th anniversary,” he said, captured in a YouTube video. “We got the Wu-Tang anniversary album coming up, we working on that now. We got some nice treats on there.”
