Though Childish Gambino released his slow-burning single “Redbone” last year, Wiz Khalifa recently opted to sprinkle a little bit of his flavor onto the record. On Tuesday (May 23), the Taylor Gang commander showed love to his fellow stoners by flipping Gambino’s “Redbone” into a smoker’s anthem.

Aptly titled “Stay Stoned,” Wiz floats over the Gambino and Ludwig Göransson-produced record with seamless precision. “A major key to success, is watch the competition/ I move as discrete as I can/ Roll up without permission,” raps Khalifa.
This marks the second remix the “Black & Yellow” rapper has delivered in the past month. As part of his Weedmix, Wiz first glided on Drake’s “Passionfruit.” “Used to be a young n—a shooting hoops/ Now the people calling me the new Snoop,” he bragged. He also mentioned his long-awaited sequel to Rolling Papers on the track, in which he tells fans to wait on it.

Khalifa released Rolling Papers in 2011, which spawned several Top 20 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 including “No Sleep,” “Roll Up,” and the chart-topper “Black & Yellow.” While he’s dropped three albums since, 2012’s O.N.I.F.C.; 2014’s Blacc Hollywood; and 2016’s Khalifa, Wiz has made fans eager for a part two of the 2011 blockbuster.
