If young Metro don’t trust you, things don’t seem like they’ll work out too well these days. But the Atlanta-based, St. Louis-born Metro Boomin blessed rising Charlotte, North Carolina MC Well$ with the beat for new track “Heaven’s Door” featuring Alec Lomami, which Billboard premieres today.
The song serves as the lead single for Well$’s upcoming EP The Way I’m Living Makes My Mom Nervous, due out in late March. He’ll also be kicking off a short tour in support of the project beginning tomorrow (Feb. 25) at the Cake Shop in New York City, with four dates in March also on the bill.

“This is an anthem for all disenfranchised people in general and for my city in particular,” Well$ says about the song. “We don’t get a lot hype regardless if we fuego or not, and this is just me telling my n—-s keep going and make our presence felt and break the door down if they don’t want to let us in… Carolina is coming, and goddammit young Metro trusts me.”
