
As David Letterman’s victory lap sprints towards its inevitable conclusion, the talk-show great called on the services of Chaka Khan to keep his party humming along.
The soul singer was the musical guest on The Late Show with David Letterman overnight where she performed the camp classic “It’s Raining Men.”
The song, originally a hit in 1982 for the Weather Girls, was co-written in the late ‘70s by Letterman’s long-time music director Paul Shaffer, who joined in on keys.
Khan, a 10-time Grammy winner (Letterman informed his audience of this on more than one occasion), is gearing up for a new album release this fall. Watch the clip below.
