Not even a month after the debut of “Situationships,” Verse Simmonds premieres his new single, “All I Want,” featuring Jeremih.
“All I Want,” premieres on The Juice, featuring both singers seductively crooning over an interpolation of “The Cha Cha Slide.” Listen below.
“When I heard the track, I asked Jeremih to come by the studio that I was working at in L.A. at the time and he pulled up on me and laid his verse on it,” Verse Simmonds tells Billboard. “That’s usually how our sessions go, very random. One of us just calls the other and if we’re ever in the same area we just pull up and get it in!”
“All I Want” isn’t the first time the two singers have worked together. “The first song we worked on was ‘Can’t Go No Mo,'” Simmonds says. “Since then we have worked together many times and it’s kind of effortless when we are both working together. He’s someone I really respect in this game because he’s super humble and very talented.”
Besides Jeremih, Simmonds has written for Chris Brown (“New Flame,” “Drunk Texting”), Fifth Harmony (“Top Down”), Kid Ink (“Hotel”), T.I. (“Private Show”), K. Michelle (“Hard to Do”), amongst others.
Simmonds’ upcoming album Sextape Chronicles 3, which features his last two singles, is slated to debut this year.
