Since Tyler, The Creator has ample time on his hands before his forthcoming album Scum F–k Flower Boy drops on July 21, the Wolf wordsmith has unveiled his new track “Boredom.”
The five-minute record finds Tyler talking about his day, beginning the track by reiterating: “Boredom, boredom, boredom, boredom/ Boredom, boredom, boredom, boredom.” Then, he continues to reflect on his dull day by touching on his eating habits: “Boy, my bedroom floor is a cereal burial, I’m serious/I ate ’em all, dry boxes, bodies, yeah I caught ’em/If we’re talking about real meals/Ask my stomach, he ain’t saw ’em,” he raps.
With Rex Orange Country anchoring the hook, Tyler’s “Boredom” is an enjoyable listen, despite its mundane message. As for SFFB, Tyler released the dual album covers last week as part of his announcement for his latest offering, in addition to the set’s track listing.
