Tyler, the Creator called out American Airlines on Thursday (Sept. 26), claiming to be restricted from flying because he’s on their “no fly” list.
“HA IM ON @AmericanAir NO FLY TERRORIST LIST. WHAT THE HELL DID I DO?” he wrote. Just minutes later, the American Twitter account replied, saying they would look into his complaint. “We’d like to look into this. Send us a quick DM with your record locator,” the airline responded.
As of press time, there hadn’t been further communication between Tyler and American. The 28-year-old is in the midst of trekking through the United States on his headlining IGOR Tour, which is booked for three shows in Florida this weekend.
“American does not have a terrorism watch list. That list is controlled by the FBI,” an American Airlines spokesperson replied when asked for comment. “But since Tyler, The Creator, is flying with us today and was on one of our flights, the tweet is not accurate.”
Tyler’s reps also had no comment.
