Ty Dolla $ign and Jeremih‘s anticipated joint album MihTy finally arrived on Friday (Oct. 26), after a few hiccups in the rollout process throughout the year. The effort sees 11 tracks in total, all of which are collectively produced by Hitmaka. MihTy includes previously released singles from the R&B crooners in “New Level,” “Goin Thru Some Thangz,” and “The Light.”
The 35-minute project precisely enlists smooth assists to help in powering the effort from French Montana on “FYT,” with Wiz Khalifa and Chris Brown popping up on standout bop “Surrounded.” Lil Wayne was originally included on “New Level” when it released back in August, but his guest verse has mysteriously been scrubbed from the album version.
Back in May, Dolla $ign hopped on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe to chat about the status of MihTy. The 33-year-old explained that he recorded over 60 tracks for the collab album with Jeremih, but they were in the process of cutting the project down.
“We probably did like eight sessions, maybe less than that, and we got like 60 songs, and we had to choose like 13 or 14,” Ty Dolla $ign relayed. “So there’s leftovers from that project that we could probably give away to some of the homies.”
