As Trey Songz readies his comeback effort Tremaine, the R&B singer wants to gift a freebie project to a select few of his New York City-based supporters.
On early Wednesday morning (Jan. 11), Songz tweeted that he will be sharing his Anticipation III mixtape, a collaboration with his artist MIKExANGEL, with fans who report to the Paramount Plaza at 5 p.m. ET today. “#Exclusive #NotAvailableAnywhere,” he added in the tweet.

The Virginia-bred crooner, whose 2005 offering “Just Gotta Make It” served as his breakout hit, will be rolling out Tremaine, his first project since 2014’s Trigga and its 2015 counterpart Trigga Reloaded, this year.
“I got a very much distinctive vision for how I want it to be taken in,” he told 106 KMEL’s Big Von and Row in December. “The visuals, the audio, the pictures, everything. It’s a plan for it. I think that nowadays music is so like fast food, in content in general.” He added, “Everybody takes everything in so fast and then they’re on to the next thing, so I want to figure out how to hold people’s attention.”
The mixtape announcement also comes after a rough holiday season for Songz, who was arrested last month following a Detroit concert. He was charged with a felony count of assault on a police officer causing injury and misdemeanor aggravated assault.
