Offset brought his signature swag to the set of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (Apr. 17), performing Migos‘ “Ric Flair Drip” with some help from the song’s namesake grappling icon on a night when his work ethic rivaled fiance Cardi B‘s recent co-hosting appearance.
The centerpiece was Offset spitting verses from inside a wrestling ring onstage, honoring the song’s inspiration, as Metro Boomin operated his keyboard just outside the ropes. The rapper owned the squared circle while donning a blindingly sparkly purple and gold robe. Much to the audience’s excitement, Ric Flair himself stepped into the ring for a surprise bonus appearance. The retired pro wrestler — considered one of the best to ever wear the championship belt — gave a whack at some dance moves, dressed just as glamorously as his new hip-hop pal. The two-time WWE champion couldn’t have appeared more thrilled to be grooving to the live performance of the song named after him.
“Ric Flair Drip” wasn’t Offset’s only musical performance of the night; earlier in the episode, he rapped his recipe for chicken stir-fry and while the concoction has yet to be viewer tested, the rap sounds like it could possibly be Migos’ next hit. Offset also teamed up with host Fallon to take on former Saturday Night Live cast member Michael Che and ex-Community star Joel McHale in an impressive battle of Catchphrase.
