On Tuesday (Jan. 2), both Braxton and Birdman posted cryptic messages on their respective Instagram accounts hinting at the possible demise of their relationship. First, Birdman posted and deleted an Instastory that read “It’s over.” He also deleted photos of him and Braxton from his page.
In similar fashion, Braxton wiped her account clean of any photos associated with Birdman, and posted a photo with a caption that reads: “Starting a new chapter isn’t always an easy choice…but ALWAYS choose to be chosen. Cheers to a new year.”
Birdman and Braxton are also no longer following each other on Instagram.
In 2016, Birdman and Braxton made an appearance together at the BET Awards, which raised questions about a possible romance between the longtime friends. Despite their splashy debut as a couple, they remained mum on their budding romance up until last February when Braxton shared news of their engagement on a teaser for her WE TV show Braxton Family Values. “I have an announcement to make — I’m engaged!” Braxton exclaimed to her sisters. Following the announcement, Birdman made several appearances on the show.
Billboard reached out to Birdman and Braxton’s reps for comment.
