Tierra Whack is delivering on her promise to unleash new music on a weekly basis in 2019. On the heels of “Only Child,” the Philly-bred MC returns with the ad-lib-filled “Clones” on Tuesday (Feb. 26). Whack serves up a nearly-three minute tune where she takes issue with those in hip-hop who are attempting to jack her flow.
The versatile 23-year-old seems to have a male rapper in mind when addressing the biters. “N—a try to take my flow/ Who the hell he think he is?/ I just wanna make my dough/ Gotta take care of my kids/ Handle bars handle my biz,” she rhymes in a deeper tone than usual. After putting in work for much of 2018, Tierra Whack is ready to ascend the hip-hop ranks.
Last week, it was announced that Apple Music tapped the Whack World rapper to be their newest Up Next artist, and a short film will drop on the streaming service very soon. Whack’s also slated to make her late-night debut as the musical guest on the March 4 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! next month.
