Following the news of his arrest, T.I. made it clear on Wednesday (May 16) that he felt he was “wrongfully arrested.” Now, new details surrounding his arrest have come to light, as T.I. claims his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, was treated unfairly when she tried to speak with the security guard, who also refused to give up his name to police officers.
T.I. said called his wife, Tiny Harris, in an attempt to rectify the already heated situation, according to TMZ. However, things took a turn for the worst when the security guard began to curse at Tiny, allegedly yelling, “Who the f–k do you think you is talking to me like this?”
When police officers arrived at the scene, the security guard refused to give the cops his name and failed to tell the truth about what really happened that night, including the fact that T.I. had to wake up the guard, who was asleep at his post.
TMZ obtained surveillance footage from the jail T.I. was escorted to, which show T.I questioning the officer about his arrest. T.I. asked the officer, “Why was I arrested?” to which the officer responded, “You were acting like a fool.” T.I. denied that he was “acting like a fool” and said he was just trying to get the guard to “acknowledge me when I pay all this money and taxes to pay that man.” In the video, T.I. continued to press the officer for answers but didn’t get any responses.
In a statement released shortly after his arrest on Wednesday, T.I.’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, explained what happened and said that his client was “wrongfully arrested.”
