
Following Wednesday night’s deadly shooting at New York’s Irving Plaza for T.I.‘s headlining show, the rapper offered his condolences on Instagram.

“My heart is heavy today. Our music is intended to save lives, like it has mine and many others,” the post reads. “My heartfelt condolences to the family that suffered the loss & my prayers are with all those injured. Respectfully, Tip.”
Police told Billboard that the shooting took place in the green room area of the venue shortly after 10 p.m. Three people were injured, including Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave, while a 33-year-old man named Ronald “Banga” McPhatter — identified as Troy Ave’s bodyguard — was killed. Police also say that no arrests have been made as of press time.
