On Monday night (March 20), rappers Ice-T and T.I. teamed up for a flawless mash-up performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Going under the name of “Ice-T.I.,” the rap tandem combined Ice-T’s 1991 record “O.G. Original Gangsta” and T.I.’s 2004 song “Bring Em Out” as part of Kimmel’s “Mash-Up Mondays.” The high-energy performance began with Ice-T introducing his counterpart to rap over the funky sounds of “O.G. Original Gangsta.”
Without hesitation, T.I. cruised through the opening verse of “Bring Em Out,” as Ice-T’s song served as his background beat. The live band switched up the tempo and allowed Ice-T to breeze through his verse from “O.G.” over the Grand Hustle star’s 2004 record.
To wrap their lively performance, both rappers fired away one more verse off their original tracks. After his fiery diatribe aimed at Donald Trump last week, T.I. appeared to be in a calmer and happier state while on stage. Like T.I., Ice-T also backed up Snoop Dogg after the president berated the “Gin & Juice” star on Twitter for his politically-charged video “Lavender.”
