In just a few weeks, The Weeknd will officially unveil his first ever comic book, The Weeknd Presents: Starboy, in collaboration with Marvel. On Friday, The Weeknd will unleash a full range of Starboy-themed merchandise for fans to collect ahead of the comic book’s release in June.
The antagonist (Starboy) and protagonist (Jack “The Chef” Smiley) from the upcoming Starboy comic series are the main focus of The Weeknd’s Marvel x XO new collection, aptly titled “Vol. 1 Issue 1.” Fans can sport a hooded coach jacket with Marvel and The Weeknd’s respective logos on the front and a fiery image of Smiley on the back or a hoodie with a black-and-white portrait of Smiley.
Other standout pieces in the collection include a long-sleeved T-shirt with “The Hounds” on the front, a Starboy short-sleeved T-shirt, and a Marvel x XO baseball cap.
Prices for the new Starboy merchandise collection are not yet available but the full range will go on sale on The Weeknd’s site this Friday, exclusively for U.S. and Canada customers.
The Weeknd Presents: Starboy is slated for release June 13. The comic will chronicle the life of Starboy, who fights to save the city of Alphatron from the “terrifying” villain Jack “The Chef” Smiley who has “unified all criminal organizations with his ruthlessness and strategic genius,” Marvel explained in a press release.
