Last month, TMZ spotted The Weeknd shooting a video in a small town in California, and on Thursday, we’ll get to see the final product: The singer is dropping a video for “Call Out My Name” just in time for his Coachella set on Friday.
In a short trailer posted to his socials, a street light turns on and shows The Weeknd, in an all-black outfit, leaning on a pole on a sidewalk, looking distraught as he belts out, “We found each other/ I helped you out of a broken place/ You gave me comfort/ But falling for you was my mistake.” He then walks across the dark street as the video fades to black.
The Weeknd surprise-dropped the moody, six-song EP My Dear Melancholy last month. The EP became the singer’s third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200; “Call Out My Name” is currently resting at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
