
All five original members of legendary Cleveland rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony reunite on their new single, “Everything 100.” The smooth Wundermine-produced cut, featuring recent Taylor Gang signee Ty Dolla $ign, is radio-friendly and looks to return the group to the charts. Bone Thugs’ last hit on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs was 2007’s “Lil Love,” featuring Mariah Carey and Bow Wow (No. 66 peak), but it only featured Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone and Wish Bone. Could the full group’s reunion on “Everything 100” get them back on the list?
Following the controversial verdict in the George Zimmerman case, a couple of R&B/hip-hop artists took to the studio to voice their reactions. Raheem DeVaughn enlisted Styles P for the poignant “Trigga Man” while Young Jeezy rides solo on “It’s a Cold World.” While these Trayvon Martin tributes aren’t official singles, they do strike a chord and come at a time when emotions are riding high.
