The Diplomats, consisting of Jim Jones, Cam’ron, Freekey Zekey and Juelz Santana, announced on Monday (Oct. 29) their first album in more than 14 years, Diplomatic Ties, due out on Thanksgiving (Nov. 22).
Since the group’s 2004 Diplomatic Immunity 2 album, they released a handful of singles including “Stronger,” “Once Upon A Time,” “Do Something” and “Have My Money.”
Jim Jones took to Instagram to tease “Sauce Boyz,” an upcoming track produced by the Heatmakerz that will appear on Diplomatic Ties. The video shows shots of Harlem’s legendary Apollo Theater, snippets of the group on rooftops, as well as aerial scenes of New York City.
He also promised more announcements soon through the post’s caption: “#DipSetThanksGiving “Diplomatic Ties” 11/22, #BlackFridayConcert at the #Apollo 11/23, #DiplomatFriday should have more announcements later today.”
To celebrate, the group will perform at the Apollo Theater on Nov. 23 with tickets already available.
