After revealing that she would be leaving Jeremih’s Later That Night Tour, Teyana Taylor has flipped the script by announcing her own solo tour Thursday (Aug. 16). The Harlem native claimed that Jeremih has been removed from the remaining dates, which will go on as planned aside from Thursday night’s stop in Toronto. The rest of the North American trek has been renamed the Keep That Same Energy Tour.
Teyana broke the news just hours after promising disappointed fans she would rectify the situation. DaniLeigh will also remain as a supporting act on the tour. “#LaterThatNightTour will now be the #KTSEOnAlseVII TOUR. Toronto will be rescheduled for later this week & All other dates will remain the same,” she wrote to Twitter. “I will also keep [DaniLeigh] on as my special guest. I promised y’all I would work it out regardless. #womenempowerment #LevelUp.”
Jeremih’s assistant offered up his side of the story, placing blame on Teyana’s diva tendencies. “Crazy @teyanataylor ruined Jeremih’s backdrop on the first day of tour in Atlanta and we let that slide,” he wrote to Facebook. “That was the first day. She complained about food, we fed em out our own pockets. Next show she tells the crowd to leave the venue to go to her meet and greet after she gets off stage (leave before Jeremih performs), we aint trip. Now she blaming J for X, Y, Z and the shit jus aint true!”
On Wednesday, the 27-year-old took aim at Jeremih in a fiery Twitter rant where she claimed to be “extremely mistreated” and would “end up knocking this n—a out” if she continued to remain in the presence of the Chicago-bred artist. “Lazy, sneaky, jealous, conniving, [selfish], lame ass n—a! Don’t ever try to play me Petunia,” Taylor penned.
