Following the death of Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle on Sunday night (March 31), the LA Clippers, Lakers and other athletes paid tribute to the rapper on the court and on social media.
The LAPD confirmed last night that Hussle was shot and killed outside of his storefront in Los Angeles, causing many musicians and artists to take to social media to express their shock and sadness about the news.
The Los Angeles Clippers gave a special tribute to Hussle, who often watched their games, at their Staples Center game on Sunday night. They not only displayed video footage of the 33-year-old, but also hung a custom Nipsey Hussle jersey in their locker room.
The Golden State Warriors also gave a tribute to the L.A. native by playing one of his tracks on the court, while Draymond Green and Kevin Durant paid their respects by dancing to the upbeat song. LeBron James, Stephen Curry and others are among the players who have also paid tribute to Hussle.
