Stalley finishes off his latest EP series with Tell the Truth: Shame the Devil Vol. 3, with the third rendition released Friday (May 18). The hard-hitting seven-track project predominantly features the Ohio native front and center with one assist from Skyy2ys on “Dimensions.” The 22-minute effort follows up Vol. 2, which was released back in February.
As the 35-year-old moves into the post-MMG era of his career, the bars remain bristling and able to contend with any MC out there. The die-hard Cleveland Cavaliers fan exudes that same consistent lyrical excellence on “Chains Mr. T.” “They put us on to game/ I soaked it all up and turned it into fame/ IG gave you fame, while I battled hard for stripes/ While y’all slept it away I went hard at night,” he brashly rhymes.
Stalley later takes aim at Donald Trump on “Sunk in Seat.” “Black lives matter, everybody living righteous/ Middle finger to the system, fuck if you don’t like us/ And fuck Donald Trump and everybody that’s behind him,” the Muslim artist assertively spits.
With two projects under his belt and this story completely told, we’re unsure of the Blue Collar Gang rapper’s next move in 2018. One thing that you can count on: The work ethic never wavers.
