After landing a second season for VH1’s Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, Snoop Dogg continues to showcase his appreciation for all things culinary with his holiday remix to Shirley Caesar’s viral hit “U Name It.”
Several weeks ago, Caesar torched the Internet with her “U Name It” video, which featured her giving praise through song for “beans, greens, tomatoes, potatoes, lambs, rams, hogs, dogs, chickens, and turkeys.” The clip instantly went viral, and even landed dance videos from the likes of Chris Brown and Ace Hood.

Snoop then elected to make a special version of the song for Thanksgiving, the “U Name It Holiday Anthem.” By teaming up with DJ Battlecat on the beat, the Doggfather freely raps about his love for chicken and rice, football, Kool-aid, and more, as Caesar chants her poignant tagline all over the track.
“Doggy in the kitchen, cookin’ chicken and rice,” he raps. “Thanksgiving, yeah, I’m doing it right / Pop up, potluck, full of good food / Birds say Thursday I’m in a good mood.”
