
When Pharrell Williams said he was “pumped and excited” to be curating the NBA 2K15 soundtrack, he probably didn’t realize he’d be getting a very special submission from one Shaquille O’Neal.
The artist responsible for a string of major-label albums during the 1990s (who also had a basketball career on the side) hit up Williams with a freestyle to help win him over. Check it out below:
“Yo Pharrell / this is Shaq / put me on the two-K-one-five track,” O’Neal begins, making his agenda all but indisputable. Later on, he flexes a bit and references his recording career, spitting, “Me and you both went platinum.”
