
ScHoolboy Q joined Maritime High School in Baltimore, Md., earlier this week as “principal for a day.”
The TDE rapper’s visit Wednesday was in coordination with the educational non-profit Get Schooled‘s National Attendance Challenge, for which students reached an attendance goal by raising it 10% this semester.

While there, he met with the students and schooled them basketball, followed by an interview by Q92’s Johnny “Porkchop” Doswell.
“Keep working don’t listen to nobody if you believe in yourself, believe in yourself,” Q said. “If plan A don’t work, work on another plan A.”

He also spoke to the aspiring musicians out there, saying, “I see a lot more creativity. It’s a lot more rappers so a lot of good stuff gets overlooked. The bar keeps being pushed higher and higher.”
Earlier in the week, on Tuesday, Chance the Rapper and Ludacris both visted Alcott College Prep in Chicago via Get Schooled as well.
