After rumors that she and Quavo had broken up, Saweetie set the record straight.
The rapper confirmed she was “single” via Twitter on Friday (March 19), saying she’s suffered “too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes” and that being publicly showered with presents, from a Birkin to a Bentley, can’t heal the pain. But she assured her followers that she’s walked away from their relationship of more than two years “with a deep sense of peace and freedom.”
“I’m single. I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women,” she tweeted. “I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Excited for this new chapter of elevation.”

The breakup rumors started spreading after people found out the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram, where Quavo first slid in her DMs in March 2018 with the now-infamous pickup line “u so icy Ima glacier boy.”
The “Icy Girl” artist is already hard at work: She and Demi Lovato confirmed they have a collaboration coming up on the latter’s seventh album, Dancing With the Devil… The Art of Starting Over, which is due Apri 2.
“Icy x demi #MyGirlfriendsAreMyBoyfriends,” Saweetie wrote while sharing Lovato’s twinkling snippet of their track.
