Coming off the heels of releasing his video “Money Now,” on Monday (Dec. 11), 22-year-old rapper Rob Stone returned with his latest visual “Sender” featuring Malik Burgers and Thommed Cruz.
In the video, Stone is shown hanging with friends and being flanked by several women having the time of his life. Other scenes in the visual cut to Fat Sal’s and even a marijuana dispensary. Vibrant colors and some camera work make for a very fun and entertaining clip.
In a statement sent to Billboard, Stone notes the inspiration for the song, saying, “‘Sender’ is a real San Diego type of song. I produced it myself with some engineering help from Cash Passion. We made this song back in our Airbnb at SXSW.” He adds, “I did the beat and then Malik Burgers started impersonating E-40’s flow. We were all drunk and crackin’ up. The best music comes out when you’re just having fun with it.”
Both “Money Now” and “Sender” reside on Stone’s forthcoming project “Don’t Wait for It,” which is scheduled to drop Oct. 20.
