After closing out her ANTI World tour, performing on multiple festival stages and receiving the MTV Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs, things aren’t slowing down for Rihanna. The “Love on the Brain” singer was cast in the new film Ocean’s Eight — an all-female spin-off of the Ocean’s Eleven trilogy — and on Friday (Nov. 4), photos surfaced of Rihanna on set as she began filming in New York.

Ocean’s Eight centers on an octet of women planning a heist in New York, and judging from the newly released photos, fashion will also have a major role in the film. In one photo, Rihanna’s impressive dreadlocks hang down her neck as she rocks an olive-green utility coat and distressed jeans. Another image shows the singer in a different ‘fit, this time with her ‘locks tucked under a head scarf as she dons an oversize cardigan and loose-fitting camouflage pants — not the typical “heist” outfit one might expect in a movie, but with the all-star cast Ocean’s Eight boasts, anything is possible.
Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett and Mindy Kaling are just a few of the women joining Rihanna in the upcoming movie, which is set to be released in June 2018.
