With Hurricane Dorian leaving parts of the Bahamas in complete devastation, Rihanna is already looking for ways she can help aide the Bahamian people and her fellow Carribeans through her Clara Lionel Foundation.
“It truly breaks my heart to see the complete devastation that #HurricaneDorian is having on the Bahamas,” she wrote to Twitter on Monday (Sept. 2). “You are in our prayers and @ClaraLionelFdn is already figuring out how best we can help! #HurricaneDorian #Bahamas.”
Rihanna’s humanitarian work in society sets the standard for celebrity philanthropy. Harvard University presented her with their Humanitarian of the Year Award back in 2017 for her dedication to helping improve education and health care in the Carribean area. The business mogul’s CLF previously contributed to relief efforts following hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.
