Rihanna was one of the acts to reportedly turn down the NFL’s offer to perform during the Super Bowl LIII halftime show, as she wanted to remain in solidarity with embattled former quarterback Colin Kaepernick. While the game was in action Sunday, an unbothered RiRi took to her Instagram story mid-flight to make it clear that she remains anti-NFL.
The 30-year-old posted a series of clips to social media. One happened to be a selfie video overhearing someone behind her asking flight attendants how they could watch the game. Next, she took things a step further and labeled the man wanting to watch the game as a “weirdo.”
Rihanna made one final statement on her IG story with a handdrawn picture of Colin Kaepernick in a black football uniform taking a knee. “For those of you who thought I was watching the Super Bowl…We beefin,” she captioned.
Rihanna is readying her upcoming highly anticipated album, which she says will be arriving at some point in 2019. The-Dream recently spoke to Hot 97 claiming that the record is “about done. Super close.”
