Riff Raff is toasting to his accomplishments after signing a $4 million joint venture with Stampede Management and distributor BMG to create his new label Neon Nation Corporation, a nod to his Neon Nation fan army. He has also set loose his new hard-hitting, 808 Mafia-produced single “Carlos Slim,” named after the billionaire business magnate in Mexico.
“I’m glad to finally have my Peach Panther album done, and the new single “Carlos Slim” out,” Riff Raff says in a press release sent to Billboard. “I’m also excited to announce my new $4,000,000 Neon Nation Corporation, which is more than just a record label. We’ll be investing in movies and talent across the globe to build an entertainment empire not just in music. Teaming up with Stampede and BMG is just the first step to get started.”
In his new role as music executive, the former MTV G’s to Gents star will team with Stampede Management’s Russell Redeaux (also Raff’s longtime manager) and employ his social media expertise. Riff Raff’s following includes 1.1 million followers on Twitter, 1.1 million on Instagram and upwards of 490,000 on Facebook.
The rapper also known as Jody Highroller shall roll out his forthcoming album The Peach Panther (the follow-up to 2014’s Neon Icon via Mad Decent) on his Neon Nation Corporation label in June.
