REVOLT unveiled an impressive lineup of speakers today (Aug 16) via Billboard for the REVOLT Summit Atlanta, which will take place from Sept. 12-14. The highly anticipated summit is set to feature conversations with T.I., along with summit co-chairs Coach K and Pierre “Pee” Thomas, Jermaine Durpi, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Ester Dean and more for a three-day experience dedicated to equipping aspiring young leaders with the right gems to succeed in the hip-hop business.
To start the festivities off right on Thursday, Grammy nominated songwriter and producer Ester Dean, will join the Songwriting 101 panel and Remy Ma, co-host of REVOLT’s State of the Culture will judge the Be Heard competition. Jermaine Dupri, Dallas Austin and Rico Wade will lead The Pioneers Panel, a discussion about their storied careers, shaping the sound of Southern rap and how their imprint has influenced modern music. The summit will also feature Quality Control: The Blueprint Behind Hip Hop’s Most Influential Imprint led by Coach K and Pierre “Pee” Thomas, The Making Of Since The 80s panel with Kei Henderson and Zekiel Nicholson, and a performance from DJ Moma who is also set to participate in a panel discussion titled Afrobeats Takeover.
To wrap up the three-day affair, T.I. will join Atlanta Mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms and Eboni K. Williams on Saturday for Trap the Vote: Hip Hop & Politics, a conversation moderated by Jeff Johnson, following which, Mayor Lance Bottoms will present Sean “Diddy” Combs with the Phoenix Award, Atlanta’s “Key to the City.”
The Atlanta summit is a follow up to the successful New York kick off event back in July. “This is the first big announcement of many for REVOLT Summit in Atlanta,” said Sean “Diddy” Combs. “I’m excited that Coach K and Pierre ‘Pee’ Thomas will join me as co-chairs of the Atlanta Summit. We’ve got many big and exciting announcements to come that will include established artists, leaders & the real next generation of cultural voices.”
