Rakim has revealed his master plan this summer. The hip-hop pioneer will be hitting the B.B. King stage in New York City this summer to perform his debut (with Eric B.) Paid In Full in its entirety, according to Gothamist.
Released in 1987, Paid In Full was heralded as an influential rap classic, anchored by the single of the same name. The set from the New York-bred DJ/ MC hip-hop dup peaked at No. 58 on the Billboard 200, but is frequently cited as one of the greatest rap albums of all time.
Rakim is expected to perform on July 13 and will also play the Brooklyn Bowl on Feb. 27 alongside the Soul Rebels. Tickets go on sale for Rakim’s throwback gig this Friday.
