Rae Sremmurd is gearing up to deliver their highly anticipated triple album on Friday (May 4). The triple-disc will feature SR3MM and solo projects from the duo, including Swae Lee‘s Swaecation and Slim Jxmmi‘s Jxmtroduction. The Ear Drummer Records signees shared the cover art for the project to their social media accounts on Monday afternoon (April 30).
The cover art features a white backdrop with Swae on the left holding three teddy bears and a rose in his mouth which radiates with sultry vibes. Jxmmi graces the right side of the cover donning his usual designer drip but makes sure to show off his icy wrist game with a pair of watches.
The artwork looks to draw inspiration from Outkast’s 2003 classic Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, which contains quasi-solo albums from the legendary experimental group. SR3MM will feature previously released singles “Powerglide” featuring Juicy J, “Close” with an assist from Travis Scott, “Hurt to Look,” “Brxnks Truck” and “Guatemala.”
Speaking to Billboard for their April cover story, Jxmmi shared the inspiration behind the idea for a triple album. “We wanted to give y’all something different,” he said. “Because it’s one side saying, ‘Man, this person should go solo,’ so why don’t we just end the argument and give it to you, and then give you Rae Sremmurd so you can see why we are Rae Sremmurd and who we are as individuals.”
