Rae Sremmurd has had quite a year so far. In January, the duo, made up of brothers Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee, released its debut album SremmLife on Interscope/Ear Drummer Records, which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and earned three BET Award nominations, taking home the honor for best group. And today, Jxmmi and Swae are announcing their very own festival, the first annual SremmFest, set to take place Dec. 18-20 in their hometown of Tupelo, Miss.
SremmFest will include a little more diverse entertainment than the typical three-day music festival, kicking off with a celebrity basketball game on Friday night. Rae Sremmurd will headline proceedings Saturday, with Yo Gotti, K Camp, DeJ Loaf, Two-9, Eearz and a DJ set from Ear Drummers chief and Rae Sremm producer Mike WiLL Made It highlighting the musical lineup at the Bankcorp South Arena. Sunday, the two young MCs are hosting a community BBQ with a food and toy drive to wrap up the event.

“We’re trying to bring good vibes back to our hometown and to bring positivity through the music that’s brought us from Tupelo, Mississippi, to all across the world,” Slim Jxmmi said in a statement released to Billboard.
During Saturday’s music lineup, Tupelo mayor Jason Shelton will also present the two rappers with the Key to the City, which Swae Lee compared to “winning a championship ring.”
Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee will be producing the event themselves, incorporating giveaways and other community events in order to give back to their city. SremmFest is the first festival of its kind in the city of Tupelo. For more information and to purchase tickets, check out SremmFest.com.
