As his feud with Drake comes to a halt, Pusha T is putting the focus back on his latest offering, Daytona. Pusha returned on Wednesday (June 13) with a visual for Daytona opener “If You Know You Know,” released exclusively on Spotify. He then dropped an expanded version of the visual on YouTube Wednesday (June 20).
The vertical, low-fi visual appears to be shot on a smartphone and follows Pusha as he embarks on a late-night drive on the highway. “You don’t take these type of risks, boy/’Cause this boy been throwin’ that D like Rich Boy/You missed, boy/Ya numbers don’t add up on the blow/That was ten years ago; if you know, you know,” he raps, before a cop pulls him over. Things begin to escalate quickly, as a second police car arrives and when the police officer steps out of his car, he pulls out a gun and aims it at Pusha.
Pusha’s new visual arrives on the heels of his Jimmy Kimmel Live! performance, in which the rapper performed “If You Know You Know” bathed under red and blue flashing lights. As for the status of his ongoing beef with Drake, Pusha recently told Vanity Fair that he believes the feud has reached its end.
“These conversations have been had and, to my knowledge, it’s all over. It’s all over with,” he said, adding that he’s “ready to be back to the music for real. Just feeding my base, that’s it. That’s the most important thing to me at all times.”
