After remaining mum over Memorial Day weekend following Drake‘s “Duppy Freestyle” diss record, Pusha T fired back at Drizzy with the venomous, eyebrow-raising “The Story of Adidon” on Tuesday evening (May 29), in which Pusha accuses Drake of fathering a secret child. As the Internet recovered overnight from Pusha’s attack, the Daytona rapper called into Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club to explain his diss track.
Speaking with The Breakfast Club hosts on Wednesday morning, Pusha warned Drake, “Let me tell y’all like this: I don’t got no skeletons. It is what it is.” Then, Charlamagne Tha God asked Push if he’s willing to let the feud die if Drake calls it quits, to which Pusha responded, “Yeah. I’m not going to bully the situation because I think it’s bigger questions now, though, I really do. They don’t have to be answered to me but I definitely feel that they are bigger questions than the things I brought up.”
Pusha explained that ghostwriting allegations aside, there are “bigger” things Drake needs to address. “We talked about the writing or whatever, the ghostwriting allegations, alright cool, we’re off that,” he said. “Now, you get to the mimicking of the black culture, the blackface. I’m not ready to excuse that. I’m not ready to excuse you talking multi-millionaire talk to me and you tucking a baby — I’m not with all of that. “
For the cover art of “The Story of Adidon,” Pusha used an old photo of Drake in blackface, which left many fans perplexed and looking for answers from the Toronto rapper. In the actual diss record, Pusha announced that it would be a “surgical summer” before unleashing piercing lines about Drake’s parents (“Your father walked away at five, hell of a dad thing/Marriage is somethin’ that Sandi never had, Drake”), the alleged mother of his child and former porn star, Sophie Brussaux and his alleged son, Adonis.
