Pusha T continued making the media rounds in support of DAYTONA, stopping by Beats 1 for an interview with Apple Music’s Julie Adenuga this week. During the chat, he pronounced Teyana Taylor‘s K.T.S.E. his favorite album of the recently released projects under G.O.O.D. Music, talked about being on the receiving end of an angry call from Taylor, and the possibility of a G.O.O.D. tour.
After the G.O.O.D. Music president crowned K.T.S.E. the top project birthed from the Wyoming sessions, Adenuga pressed him about Taylor’s frustrations with the album’s rollout and numerous issues with sample clearances. “I caught one of them phone calls, you know [Teyana’s] just really passionate. She can hit me up whenever,” King Push began. “Oh no, it’s never calm. Teyana doesn’t talk calm, she doesn’t do things like that, it’s ramped up. It may start off calm and then, you know. ‘Yo, my n—a look, yo what you doing is you not listening to me, see you like everybody else, you not listening either.'”
“[Teyana] also has what we call ‘Demoitis.’ Demoitis is when you record a [song] and you begin to love the [song] as it is and then somebody comes and changes something within the [song] and then you can’t hear it another way,” he jokingly added. “You know, she hears it one way, it was recorded one way and then you know, [Kanye] may add a sound or add a sample or things that may change the dynamic in her mind to not what she was married to,” Pusha explains.
King Push then goes on to tease the idea of a colossal G.O.O.D. Music tour and even hints that he and Kanye West have already had discussions regarding the possibility. “That’s what we’re trying to figure out right now, just how we’re gonna do it,” Pusha T said. “I’ve already booked a tour, but you know I definitely see us doing this as a collective for sure, and not even by my word; by Ye’s, I already see it happening.”
