Artists are starting to take action following the scathing backlash from the shocking revelations made during Lifetime’s Surviving R. Kelly docuseries. Lady Gaga and Chance the Rapper have already pulled their collabs with the controversial R&B star from streaming services and digital retailers, and when TMZ caught up with Post Malone leaving The Grove mall in Los Angeles on Monday night, he voiced his support for those distancing themselves from R. Kelly.
“He’s done a lot of fucked-up shit, obviously,” Posty said when ambushed by the camerman while heading to his ride home. TMZ continued to press the Texas transplant for his thoughts on the notion that artists removing their collaborative tracks with Kells from the digital marketplace are “rewriting history.”
“It’s the right thing to do,” Malone said, adding, “He’s also done a lot of big, fucked-up shit. I guess that’s where I’ll leave it.”
