Although Post Malone only knew Lil Peep for a long period of time, the Texas artist called him an “incredible guy” and believed that Peep’s “music was going to change the culture of everything.” Posty made sure he would never forget his fallen friend, tattooing a portrait of the 21-year-old on his arm.
In a statement to Billboard, Malone had this to say regarding his tribute to Peep: “In the short time that I knew you, you were a great friend to me and a great person. Your music changed the world and it’ll never be the same. i love you bud. Forever.”
Last week, (Nov. 17) Malone joined the H3 Podcast and had high praise for Peep as a person and his musical talent, “I fucking love that kid, it sucks ass… he was the fucking shit. I only knew him for a little bit. But more than [the] genuine good real true person that he was, his music was going to change the culture of everything. Already shifting culture in such a short period of time. He’s an incredible, talented dude and good guy.”
