Polo G recently unveiled his latest video for “Through Da Storm” on July 14. In the Ryan Lynch-directed clip, we see the Chicago rapper perform in front of a group of ballerinas and a fountain in a park.
“Know my grandma still with me, when it get cold, I feel your spirit/ Talkin’ to my lil’ sister, phone calls through Securus,” he raps fondly, while also sharing shots of the LA streets at night, children playing, views from an airplane, and the Cali mountains. “Walk in court in them shackles, see my mama, her eyes tearin’/ Tryna work towards these blessings but the devil keep interfering,” he continues.
Just last month, Polo G — real name Taurus Bartlett — earned his very first Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart with his track “Pop Out” featuring Lil Tjay and officially graduated from Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart.
“Through Da Storm” comes from the rapper’s latest album Die A Legend, out now via Columbia Records.
