Rising artist Jack Bruno is certainly brimming with confidence nowadays. First, the up-and-comer is serving as an opener on Juice Wrld’s The World’s Domination Tour, and now, he has a new banger featuring Playboi Carti titled “Ciggy Said Light.”
The Hit-Boy-produced banger has Bruno shunning the idea of commitment and living his best life. “Last time I saw Playboi Carti was at a Louis Vuitton afterparty in Paris,” Bruno tells Billboard. “Every time I see him we always end up talking about fashion, girls, parties, shit like that. So when we linked up at Hit-Boy’s place in LA, it was super natural. The beat was nearly done, I had the hook already and I kind of just took our conversations and made that the song. That’s always the best when the song writes itself. You just gotta make sure your verse is hard ’cause whatever Carti says is gonna sound dope as fuck.”
With his new double-disc effort, Manifestation of a Pop Star, slated to drop soon, Bruno hopes to become a visceral force in music with his emo-centric raps.
