After unleashing his emo-leaning album Love Is Hell last fall, Phora bounces back into 2019 with his new video “Don’t Change.”
On “Don’t Change,” Phora’s penchant for evocative lyrics gleams through, as he reflects on his triumphs in 2018. “Yeah, me and my n—-s in the crib with the views/ Back then, if we had a dollar we would split it in two/ That’s loyalty – you lil’ n—as not in my bracket/ 2018 alone, paid a million in taxes,” he asserts in front of his fancy sportscars.
Though Phora’s stock has exponentially increased during the last 365 days, he still yearns for a dedicated woman to stand by his side. “Just forgive me for all these trust issues/ You stayed down through it all – that’s why I fuck wit’ you/ I know I told you I’m leaving, I said I’m done with you/ Truthfully I just think that I might be in love with you,” says the “To the Moon” MC.
