Odd Future will open for Eminem at the rapper’s upcoming shows at London’s legendary Wembley Stadium in July.
Eminem broke the news by posting a video of Odd Future’s Tyler, the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt to his Instagram account yesterday. Says Tyler, “Me and Earl Sweatshirt and the rest of Odd Future are going to be with Marshall in London on two shows before he goes on.”
Eminem is set to become the first hip-hop act to headline Wembley on July 11 and 12. The show was originally planned for London’s Hyde Park.
These will be Eminem’s first London shows since 2001. He last played the UK in August of last year, when he headlined the Reading and Leeds Festivals.

Eminem had positive words to say about Odd Future back in 2011, when the collective was still rising to notoriety. In an interview with MTV News, Em said:
“I think that from the stuff that I’ve heard — I haven’t heard a lot from them, I still have to go check out everything that they’re doing — but I’ve heard enough to know that it feels like they’re pushing boundaries and buttons, and that’s definitely one of the things that I’m familiar with, especially when I first came out. I love it, I love the fact that they’re doing that. And the dudes can rhyme.”
Wembley Stadium opened to the public in 2007 on the site of the famous earlier stadium, which was demolished in 2003. The “new” Wembley Stadium has hosted concerts from the likes of Muse, Madonna, U2, Take That and the Live Earth concert.
