Pusha T and Drake‘s feud was the talk of the town over the weekend, as Pusha questioned Drake’s lyrical game in his Daytona album cut “Infrared” and Drake responded to Pusha with the scathing “Duppy Freestyle.” In a recent Instagram Live session, No Malice, Pusha’s brother and former Clipse member, shared his thoughts on the feud.
While working out on the treadmill, Malice responded to a fan who asked the rapper how he felt hearing Drake go after his brother. “I think it makes for good hip-hop. This is an exciting moment for hip-hop, right?” he said. Later in the live stream, Malice praised his brother’s newest album for being “everything I think hip-hop should be” and “real hip-hop.”
On Pusha’s “Infrared,” the rapper questioned Drake for allegedly using a ghostwriter. “How could you ever right these wrongs/When you don’t even write your songs?” Push rapped.
Drake didn’t take the diss lightly and released “Duppy Freestyle” late Friday evening (May 25), dishing out lines like, “Your brother said, it was your cousin then him, then you/So, you don’t rap what you did, you just rap what you knew/Don’t be ashamed, it’s plenty n****s that do what you do/There’s no malice in your heart, you’re an approachable dude.”
