After holding a press conference demanding that the prime suspect in the Nipsey Hussle turn himself in, CBS Los Angeles is reporting that authorities have apprehended Eric Holder in Bellflower, Calif., on Tuesday afternoon (April 2).
LAPD later confirmed that Holder was in custody. “Eric Holder, the suspected killer of Nipsey Hussle, has been arrested and is in police custody. Thank you to both our community for the heightened awareness/vigilance, and our partners at @LASDHQ,” the LAPD Twitter account wrote.
Police believe that an argument over “personal matters” took place Sunday in front of Nip’s Marathon Clothing store. Holder then left and returned with a handgun and opened fire at Hussle and two others in the area, leaving Hussle dead.
The 29-year-old suspect in question then left the area in a 2016 Chevy Cruze, which was being driven by an unidentified female accomplice waiting in an alleyway.
Billboard has reached out to LAPD for comment.
