Less than 24 hours after Nipsey Hussle, 33, was gunned down in front of his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon (Marc 31) a growing tribute to the late rapper has sprung up on the sidewalk outside of the shop.
The collection of flower arrangements, candles and teddy bears, including a spraypainted “RIP NH” in a golden heart with the rapper’s initials spelled out in devotional candles above near some handpainted signs and portraits pay tribute to the MC who was gunned down by an as-yet-unidentified assailant in a daytime shooting that also wounded two others.
Hussle (born Ermias Ashedom) was not only a rapper an entrepreneur, but also a community activist who was slated to meet with representatives of the LAPD on Monday (April 1) to discuss strategies to help reduce gang violence.
