Nimic Revenue is looking to rattle the cages of hip-hop’s ecosystem. On the heels of releasing her latest single with “Paramount” last week (June 14), the Def Jam signee swiftly follows-up with the tune’s fiery visual on Wednesday (June 19).
The 20-year-old kicks off the clip by turning on the radio to hear the local host talk about how her new track has been getting crushed by the public. She brushes the haters off with ease and heads to her quiet place deep in the woods. Nimic remains calm — almost too calm — as cars are burning around her, while she then posts up inside her trailer to smoke in peace.
“Paramount” is bound together by a catchy chorus from NR. “Stars in the ceiling on my wrist and on my neck/ Told them just be patient, but they split before the check/ They says talk is cheap, I promise I don’t owe no debt,” she raps in a sing-song voice.
The visual is leading toward the Minneapolis rhymer’s Lifeline album, which is expected to drop later in 2019. “Whatever vibe you are feeling, I know it’s going to touch you,” she previously told Coveteur. “I’ve been super honest. I’m so excited to share it with the world because I know it’s going to change my life. I grew up never really having a lot of friends, and I know my music is going to bring me so much more than that. It’s going to bring me family, and I want to share my love with them, our love for music.”
